They are perfectly fine. Most people are used to HIDs looking slightly blue and therfore dont generally accept true white as HID. The closer to white it is however, the more it illuminates.

 

You can always go with Phillips Ultinon Bulbs, expensive but well worth it.

 

I went from 6000K HIDs in my RSX which showed up white on the road and a nice blue when you looked at them. then with my X's HIDs they seemed more yellow. But I know their HIDs so its ok, and coming down the street their blue, friends told me so.
