I dyno'd the car with just the exhaust...it made 266whp and 3-- torque (forgot exact #'s and can't find the sheet!) I added an aem air filter and hallman boost controller today, but didn't get a chance to dyno it again, so im not sure how much power its making now...if i had to guess, prolly just over 300wheel. The car weighs 3670 with me in it ( full weight ) 08 gsr sss package...didn't remove the sub or spare tire which probably robbed me for maybe a .001 of a sec! Waiting on exedy to make a clutch kit, so untill then im stuck @ low 13's. (Someone shoot me)

Hey man. I just got an X, coming from a 6boltDSMlink TSI/AWD, what part of NJ are you in and where did you go? I'm about 15min from Englishtown. I've been tring to find some time to go, but i am just so busy.

How many miles do you have on your car?
What dyno did you use/ go to?

Nice to see some X's in NJ. I haven't seen any other mine!

Yea, I actually think that the X's clutch is worse than the 8/9. Along with the intercooler.

I agree, the torque and the weight doesn't help at all. Can't wait to see exedy come out with some clutches

I believe that's the light more agile JDM version... correct me if i'm wrong

Some of those times seem kinda OFF as well... um.. 0-100kmp 5.7??? shouldn't it be like 4.7???

I'll stick with what the mags were saying.... 13.2-13.3

thanks for the replies guys...i havent been able to get back on evom since yesterday..they took internet away from us at work..****ers..lol..so here i am on my phone....the stock clutch is definitely hurting...more so because i disabled the factory launch control and launched @ 6-7k rpm. its kind of hard to compare the x to the 9 bc of the weight difference..but think about it....stock 9 needs a flash full turboback boost controller intake clutc and full exhaust to go low 12s...when i put a clutch in my car and reflash the ecu, the results will be the same...with more weight. the X is really proving itself.

I disagree.

To put things in a better perspective, the 8/9 needs a lot less whp to obtain the same track results as the X.

I put 274whp on 91 pump with TBE, and tune and tracked my VIII down the quarter-mile at 13.045@105mph. And that was with a bad 60' (1.865). You have more mods than my car back then and you're putting well over 274 to the wheels.

I'd say you'd need the same mods as an 8/9 to reach low 12s. You might need even more mods as you try to reach even faster times (9s,10s,11s) because weight will play an even bigger role then.

This Evo X with those mdds is in the same territory as a Evo IX but Evo IX would be in the 12s.. IMO i think that once this car is flashed it will prob run low 12s at 110+ mph as a Evo IX.. Looks like the extra 300+ pnds is killing it.. If this car was the same weight as a VIII/IX it run fast as hell!

I think another important point missing here is the gearing. In my VIII, I could drive to ~120 before shifting to 5th. In the X, you are done at 110. As you add more power, and your trap times go up, you will find it hard to compete due to the shift, which usually robs .3 seconds.
