1/4 Mile Times Inside!

Mods. 3" exhaust, no cat, air filter and boost controller set to 22-23 psi...

1st pass. 13.111@105mph ( Launch w/ stock launch control )
2nd pass. 13.141@106mph (disabled factory launch control )
3rd pass. 13.345@106mph ( stock clutch not liking me so much anymore)

I dyno'd the car with just the exhaust...it made 266whp and 3-- torque (forgot exact #'s and can't find the sheet!) I added an aem air filter and hallman boost controller today, but didn't get a chance to dyno it again, so im not sure how much power its making now...if i had to guess, prolly just over 300wheel. The car weighs 3670 with me in it ( full weight ) 08 gsr sss package...didn't remove the sub or spare tire which probably robbed me for maybe a .001 of a sec! Waiting on exedy to make a clutch kit, so untill then im stuck @ low 13's. (Someone shoot me)

Well i turned the boost up to 24, but the 1st pull i did it hit some kind of cut. I think the factory tune is so conservative and rich that it washes the spark away @ points. I naturally assumed i hit boost cut but that wasn't the case, so for now i just left it at 22-23. Hopefully software comes out asap. and yes all is done by me. Except for the exhaust...Sean Ivey helped me out and made me the custom 3"

Humm...those traps should be good for high 12's. Trap about 4mph higher than a stock IX but same ET. Looks like it has some more in her. Stock clutch already slipping though??

Trap times are pretty positive. Seems to be right at where you would expect for the WHP numbers you are reporting. Add 1/10 of second per 100 pounds, and I think you are pretty close to where you should be.

Yeah, thats what i'm thinking..there's hope for this 3700lb monster evo. Fun car, awesome car to drive and i don't regret getting one at all..just have to make a little more power to compensate for the weight.

Considering how cold it is in NJ I would call that excellent driving!

Cold weather also account for faster times. I also realize the weight difference of the VIII and IX. ET's are hard to compare but the trap speed is what counts. Regardless of weight trapping at 106 will net 12's eventually. What really gets me is the stock clutch already slips with 3 runs. I guess the torque these X's put out plus the weight doesn't help.

I am impressed. You did well, especially with no tuning available.
