I am very happy with my X and will be more after an air intake, catback, and some other bolt ons from AMS
I guess you didn't let him drive your X did you? j/k

That's what I was thinking... People keep saying the IX pulled hard all the way to redline, but mine sure as hell didn't. The X however shows no signs of giving up past 5500rpm.

I agree with MrBonus' entire statement...

My IX stock would bust my X stock in a straight line. They made within 2whp of each other, but the X has 300 more pounds to lug around. The X does not fall off as bad up top, but a simple Mivec flash on the IX, and was cured immediately.

What the hell Mine runs out of steam past 5500rpm like crazy. It is either running to rich or boost drops way to low.

Yeah I hear that. Probly get an AMS MBC and Intake soon to get that 45whp that has been advertised.

Everyone seems to state that these things run pig rich from the factory.

If driven correctly, my stock VIII would pin me to the seat until redline... it didn't give up. I'm surprised to hear IX owners say anything different...

I will say this, you must drive it to completely understand it. Some of my assumptions were confirmed on my test drive, however more was discovered. I really only got a glimpse of what it can do. I really wish I could have driven the car with the TCS turned off...I think it would have been alot more fun. Regardless of what others have said about the acceleration - I can not agree that it feels "just as fast." Its physically impossible for it to feel just as fast considering the inferior power/weight ratio.

Its more enjoyable to drive than I thought it would be, but I dont think it is as enjoyable to drive as the IX. It all depends on your perception of "enjoyable," but to me its just not as hardcore of a car. For me, the more minimalist/hardcore, the better - its the main reason I bought an Evo in the first place.

exactly. The X comes off soft at first glance. I'll probably go test drive one, but it would be hard to buy one over my 2.3 HTA35r evo
