Couple Questions before splurging..

Splurging as in buying the Evo X...
So I got a very good deal on the Evo X but I have a few questions!
1) The dealer told me Octane Blue will be a 1 year color...is this true? I wouldnt think he would lie to me since he seemed honest and true..

2) Is there only a SMALL difference in insurance from the Evo 9 and X? I got a quote on the 9 and it was like 700 dollars a month..

The Evo X was not that much slower than the 9...He took me around a corner and it blew my mind.

I also heard that the Octane Blue is only going to be this year. Sam from South Coast Mitsu told me this, when I was considering buying the car from him As far as insurance, mine stayed about the same from my 8 to the X. The car is awesome, you should get it.

VIII/IX vs X insurance is the same if not cheaper due to safety enhancements.

1 Year color is complete bullsh*t.

Well, all companies do something different.. Show me a US bound yellow evo for 2006 ? ? or a BBY 2006 evo

I wouldnt doubt they do that stuff... And if anyone knows its the dealers.

when i sold mazdas, the RX8 was rare in yellow the first year, then the second year was white and 3rd year was a purple/black color or something...

i think thats BS as well. Octane Blue is exclusive to GSR only tho...not to the MR.

Insuring the X is cheaper since it is safer...

I can tell you that 700 a month for an evo on ins is good enough reason for me not to get it. That is crazy.

How old are you? 16 years old? 700/month seems a bit ridiculous. If the quote stays true with other insurance companies, I would seriously reconsider the purchase.

A fully loaded GSR is going to run around $38k w/ a good deal...with no money down and a decent interest rate on the auto loan, that'll run you $650-$700/month. Would you seriously consider paying just as much just to insure the damn car? I wouldn't.
