He found an M3 with one. Got a hammer and chisel and went to work.

Apex silver, the best motoring tests can be taken with a grain of salt. Every magazine has given the X first place, the sti 2nd. The new evo was 2 seconds faster around the track than the sti in the most recent road and track, so you are putting way too much faith in wat you saw in those best motoring vids. The JDM 9 is better than the USDM 9, because it's lighter and has AYC, the main component that gives the X the edge here in the states over the 9. The 9 is a bit faster in the straights, but the X handles and brakes better. It's all in what you want in a car. The 135i is probably a better car for you, since you obviously aren't into handling as much as you are straight line (which really is about the same but it's not important). Enjoy your nicer interior when I blow past you on the track.

I doubt this tool even has a 135. For one the 135 was not made in SMG, 2 i highly doubt BMW of anywhere would discount a brand new 135 SMG (which doesnt exist) $10,000. APEX show us a copy of your MSO and prove me wrong.

Yea, even with out the dealer mark up I had trouble fitting it under 40k and there is no SMG option at all.

MSRP on a 135i with red interior nav sport package and steptronic $41,600. Add 8.5% cali sales tax license and doc fees and you are looking at over 45k out the door.

But I guess since BMW mistakenly installed an SMG in his 135 they had to discount it $10,000.

Yeah, I don't know why adam thought that there was the option for the smg, because there clearly isn't one. There is a steptronic automatic tranny, which is just an auto with paddle shifter option and doesn't use a clutch setup like the smg, dsg, or tc-sst. It's just a tiptronic tranny, nothing more. Anyway there is no way that they would let the car go for that cheap. This guy Apex Silver needs to check himself into a mental hospital. I've never heard of anyone getting a scratch and then not liking their car because of it. "Wahhh, my X got a scrath and now I don't like it. I want a beamer, wahhh."

tha's what im saying.. this guy has got to be full of crap.

its called make them bring you the invoice then see how long the car has sat at their lot after you see what they paid for it its kind of hard for them to justify selling it for 10 k more its hustling its hard but 4 hours later you win big time
how long could it have possibly been sitting on that lot when 135's were barely released? on top of that, most of the orders that have come in were pre-ordered...

Yeah, the 135 and 335 come with a "tiptronic" style tranny. I havent drove the 135 yet, but I did drive the 335 with the tip tranny and I have to say it performed way better then any other "tip" style tranny I have driven. I have even heard from E46 M3 owners that the "tip" style tranny in the 335 was better then the SMG trannies in their cars.

Just some info...
