Good Review! Can't wait to get my....I mean my ... wife's MR. lol! The part about the car being always in the right gear when in super sport mode is what I've been waiting to hear!

Kinda disappointing to hear it's so slow...and couple that with the issues regarding the tune/tranny, seems like the GSR is the way to go, at least in the short-term.

Hmmm? no wonder they are boasting about the great handling , if all the cars are slow then they will seem to handle better right?

0-60 times vary, it depends on the driver, weather, track and so forth! I've seen the MR pull 0-60 in 5 flat and he GSR pull 0-60 in 4.6 beating the much lighter more powerful STi. Either way the Evo Mr is by far my car of choice but I can't justify paying 38 for a base MR, so it's the loaded GSR for myself

Umm...I guess Best Motoring is wrong? Weird though, they pulled similar time with the GSR as other magazine such as M/T and C/D

Far too short of a review to glean any real info from. Interesting comment on the transmission. Has he tried the GT-R's?

The acceleration times seem about right give or take .2 sec. Some of his comments seem odd though. For example, the MR has extra sound deadening and was not ver loud at all inside. Also, the two we tried were quite good over bumpy roads and without rattles. The GSR was a little rougher and louder.

Keep in mind that the MR is not designed for standing start launches. It is slower on purpose to preserve the transmission and actually dials back power on launches, even in launch mode. Launch mode was a bit of an afterthought unlike in the GTR. It is referred to as "journalist mode" and many of the engineers did not even want to include it. So the fact that it is slower, doesnt actually mean the car is slower once moving. Run them from a roll and its a bit different
