The reason...theres no support. and maybe ECUFlash ; )
It’s a matter of timing, when the Xede was the hot item you could get something for it.

As far as support, my Xede ran for 3 years with no problems and I never had a reason to call Vishnu, so I can’t vouch for their support. Personally I think they made a big mistake for giving people access to mess around with the maps on their own.

If you trade your Mazda or Evo in on a BMW 135i, 335i, 535i, you can still use the same PROcede. It just needs a different harness and a free firmware update. IMO, that's pretty slick.

People complaining about the limp mode thing is getting old to me. The limp mode happened on the BMW N54 engines way up top where the throttle plate closes. It was basically an overboost code. They have since corrected that issue on the BMW. Since the Evo isn't direct injection, it doesn't have a throttle plate that closes at high RPM either. All that to say, BMW problems are not Evo problems. I've read there are beta cars out west running the PROcede on the Evo X with good results.
There was check engine lights on EVOs too. Ill just leave it at that.....

You are the first person to tell me that it throws an engine code. No one else who installed it right and just left it be has said that it does that.

It won't be long till you see equivalent flashes for the X that cost 200 bucks.

I just feel the car is so new that I would wait awhile until there is a bit more competition so that prices drop. I'm sure its worth it, but what can I say - I'm cheap. Either way, it is impressive...the 4B11 is certainly proving to be a legitimate successor to the 4G63.
im sure ecureflashes would be cheeper and make the same amount of power if not more...but then agian with the procede, you can take it off and save your warranty. the x's have some type of system that lets the dealership know if you reflashed, then went back to the stock ecu, which voids your warranty for all ecu, and most engine related claims.

PO300s. Lots more than XEDEs had that. My old GT3071R Evo VIII still has the XEDE on it at 72k miles. Only codes I ever threw were cat inefficiency early on and then the PO300 about once every couple of months.

Thank goodness the X won't have a PO300 issue.

Does that include the Procede?

Ignore that. It is not even out yet, and its a new application. Lets see what it brings to the table and decide from the Evo X PROcede, not Evo VIII XEDEs and certainly not PROcedes from another application (BMW).

No, its not a reflash. Of course they would see it if the hood was opened and yoy left it inside the car at the dealership.

My opinion is that I am not going to hide my mods. I never go to the dealer for anything other than parts anyway, and if they see them, so what. Especially when I get a tune. I'm not going to try to sneak something off. I did that when I was younger and it was lame.

I don't plan to visit them much either (keeps fingers crossed). Today I am changing my cars oil myself for the first time at 2000 miles. I hope things go well. I visited them to get the OEM filter. Mobile 1 fully synthetic 5W-30 I picked up at a regular store....anyone know anything I should know before doing it today later? ...thanks

The Procede I think would be worth taking off to save the warranty honestly since it is so easy to install and uninstall ...at least by looking at the previous ones. The Procede looks good to me even though it gets smack from a lot of people. With it I can achieve the goal I set, I don't want to keep modding the car forever.

Guys the article says 75hp and 75tq not whp and wtq.

Than all the better tunes in the world can come out, I won't care, I will be enjoying my car. In the state it is in right now it is way to restrictive and it runs like poo up top specially on the highway. The dyno time and all the ECU programming doesn't sound as appealing as a 15 minute install and a 75whp gain. best thing about the piggy back is it comes out as easily as it went in.
