As the subject states. Do you guys know if the X uses the same oil filter as the IX? I'm just about ready to change my oil.

Do all of the cars in the mitsubishi family use the same oil filter? I had a 97 mirage and I bought like 10 oil filters at the time but has since sold it.

Now I have the Evo X and would like to do oil changes myself also, so wondering if my left over mirage filters would work. The number on the oil filter box is MD325714.

 

Speaking of Oil filters...I haven't even looked under the car yet to check...but is the filter a PITA to get to...or just as easy as the 8/9?

 

mitsubishi has two filters, one for older models and one for newer models...
MD325714 is the older model filter

dont know what the number for the new one is, but its around here somewhere
