No, my lease is through Huntington Bank. That's the advantage of going to a very large dealer. The often have many lenders they work with and if you find the right people to deal with they will work pretty hard to get you the best rate possible.

I hope you're kidding...that sucks.

900/month with NOTHING down sounds a bit more like it, but with 5k down...No.

Yea, that is pretty bad. Assuming the car ends up being in the $44k area (based on magazine estimates), tax brings it to about $47k. $47k with 0 down is about $900 a month at 6% for 5 yrs. And 6% isn't even a good rate. So he either has horrible credit, wants a shorter term, or plans on paying more than $52k otd.

82 months? Wow! What percentage rate? Obviously simple math comes to a total of $45,180. Does this include being upsidedown on your GTS?

Assuming an OTD price of $35k-ish, $490 a month for 82 months implies an APR of about 9%. My credit union offers 76-84 month loans at 5.49% (60 month is 4.24% for reference). So, no, that's not a particularly good deal unless your car is more expensive. Without the OTD price, we can only speculate.

You can play around with this to find out for yourself:

I got my interest at 4.5% @ 4 years. Payment is about 800 a month. Don't bother going anywhere but credit unions to get that rate. Banks are being very conservative. I think they are looking for folks with a credit score of 700 or higher. Besides, I plan to pay that off @ the 6 month mark, to earn my some score to buy that house.
