I have placed a personal limit of $455/mo, not to exceed 60 months on any car purchases; the limit is allowed to rise $5 every 5 years. It keeps me from buying anything too outrageous.

Yeah, I have been running the numbers and it looks like I would be better off waiting a month or two and saving up some more for a down payment. I was using this calculator to find out an average price. Hopefully shopping around at banks can get me a lower rate than 6.78

Yeah 6.78 is high. I think anyway. My credit union is 5.75%
Whats everyone else getting?

5.64% . Could be lower by .25% but i like paying bills myself instead of the auto deduction thing.

^^ $375/month is way too low.. He probably put at least 30% down on the price of the car..and/or the loan goes beyond 5 years.
