Evo X is an Engine of the Year Nominee!

http://www.autoblog.com/2008/04/17/2...ees-announced/

These are the final nominees.

M3
GTR
ZR1
EVO X
S8

What do you think if going to win?

I think its going to be the M3's V8. BMW usually dominates these awards.

The evo X sure is an underdog, but a great platform.

The ZR1 will probably win with its monster power or the GTR, just because it's the wonderful twin turbo GTR.

Reading that article, did it just say that the Evo X has a twin turbo motor? Read 2nd paragraph of that link.

M3 without a doubt. That motor is just sick. Great power, TQ, powerband. V-8 with a 8300 redline. Crazy man, crazy.

The V8 M3 engine is basically a M5 V10 engine w/ 2 cylinders taken off. That V10 is based off 2 or 3 year old BMW F1 engine technology. That engine will most likely win. The technologies in the M5 and M3 engines are very advanced. I'm actually surprised they don't make more power. I am sure it was to keep cost/warranty in-line.

Next or near tied would be GTR, then the 4B11

The GT-R engine is derived from one of Nissan's ricing engine with pretty much 2 less cylinder and .3 more litre displacement. So I think it may be close compared to the M3 engine.
