Hi everyone I just got a 08 ww evox base model. My car I noticed when turning the wheel most noticably at slow speed make a weird grinding sound like a cable being pulled is this normal.

 

Are you cranking the wheel all the way to wheel lock? Every car makes a noise if you are applying any pressure to the wheel when it's already at full lock. If this is not the case then I would get it looked at.

 

Power steering makes a noise when being fully turned.

 

i think it;s the rotors rubbing on the brakes. that's what it sounds like to me

 

its def ur brake pads rubbin the rotors, time for new pads lol... does ur steering wheel vibrate when u stop? i jus changed my pads when i heard that noise and im all good now... could be a wheel bearing or a u joint also but id go wit ur pads first... hope this helps lemme kno!

It's really stange I tried leavign work going straigt fist and then turning at a slow speed and it still does this it's really weird and you can fell some kind of resistance and then after tat it's fine.

 

IMPROPER PDI, ASK THEM TO REMOVE THE RUBBER INSERTS FROM SPRINGS THAT THE NEW CAR CAME WITH

SAME **** HAPPENED TO ME AND THEY FORGOT TO TOOK THOSE OFF LAZY ASSHATS!

 

Thanks for the info gonna hit the mitsu dealer tommorow and see if that's what it is
