The reason for holding off now is b/c my wife wants a Lancer ES. So, I'm hoping over the next week or two, we can get a deal done on both cars. I still can't believe they let me take it overnight. That definately sold me on the X. So, not today....but I will have a Evo X soon.

That's pretty amazing actually. My family has that kind of relationship with a local ford dealership (hometown, bought 5 vehicles from the same salesperson). That was one of the surprising things about walking into Mitsu dealers and being told I couldn't even touch an evo, let alone drive one. I've looked at a used VIII and a new X and both dealerships have wanted credit checks before even letting me get in one. Hell the new X was locked (which I didn't realize) and when I opened the doors, in the middle of the show room, the sales people were treating me like I was trying to steal the car. Oh well good luck!

It hasn't been beaten on in terms of driving. At least you hope not. Check the car over for scratches nicks dings etc. Make you offer based on it's depreciated condition. If they balk at your offer, just wait a year, pay off your MS3 and have more money to put down.

Update!!! Just got a call from the dealer, and there is a new owner/management again! Anyways, they sold the "demo" X (supposedly), and claimed they have a brand new blue '09 Evo X with SSS. After looking over my previous visit, the new manager got on the phone and said he would sell it to me for 33k flat OTD. Not bad at all, especially for their first asking price. Are the '09s out already?? So, I have an appointment with them this Saturday to give me a trade offer on my Speed 3. Only thing is, I just installed the Cobb AccessPORT Stage 1+ on my Speed 3, and this little wagon is pretty friggin quick. Ideally, I'd like to trade in my wifes pos '98 civic (2k), put down 5k, and give the Speed to my wife and I'll take the Evo. She's pretty content with her honda though, and that would just be more money owed. Anybody interested in an '08 Speed 3 GT with 10k miles on it, let me know. I will let it go for a little over trade in offer. Any advise would be appreciated, God obviously wants me in an Evo.

1. Ha , I figured they didn't know what they are talking about. If it's the same Evo I test drove for 100 miles, I'm gonna laugh so hard at them, and offer 28k.

2. I'm in Northwest GA.

If it was somehow an '09, I'd be much more likely to make a deal. I just couldn't buy the car show Evo with the blemishes. Wasn't right. As long as it's new, I'm willing to buy. No real changes on the '09's right? Other than flashes are done and such I'm assuming.

wow.. im guessing that "09" saying is just a hook to get you back in the dealership. Plus, Mitsu isnt making any more Blue evos for the 09 + year... at least thats what ive heard. I might be wrong but ive read somewhere that the Blue evos were only 08 models. Anyways if its a brand new Evo X, get it, if not, theres always southcoast.

Yeah, I'm sure it was a hook now. But what a dumb one at that. Tell me you have a brand new car, not driven, then I go saturday and show them the miles on it. I guess they just want to look stupid. Maybe it will be a miracle, and this little redneck dealer got the first '09 on the east coast..lol. We'll see, I'm just gonna go tomorrow after work to see this. Will post te findings. Yeah, I heard the blue was limited to first year as well. And that's the first color I want.......I gotta hurry!

I wouldn't get of of a MS3. It's a pretty awesome car! Especially one with a Cobb AP in it.
