Idiosyncracies of the Evo X
whoa bringing old threads back from the dead. I posted this like 2-3 days after getting my X. i was a lot more **** about it back then. my fix for the glove box is when it starts rattling i give it a little tap and it stops. total pricing for that mod = free.
Quite possibly, but the turn to turn of the wheel is no where what the evo is for handling purposes, so that probably has some effect, plus big wheels inside a smaller wheel well with less ground clearance, all probably factors. How about smaller AWD performance cars have bad turning radius...lol.
I had an '02 WRX and I don't remember it having such a huge turning radius. I also drive my mom's Audi A6 Quattro (which is a bigger car btw) from time to time and I have no problems parking it, although that car seems to have quite a bit of caster. I guess the Evo's wheels just don't turn very far, nor does it need to for high-speed turns. I just gotta back up into spaces ricer-style.
Parking the evo x?
Only place i park it is in my garage, people are not trustworthy nowadays. Ouu a evo x lets key that rich bastards car he can just pay to fix it. Not that it happened to my x but someone keyed my 05 Evo 8 MR RR to the point i could stick my nail in it.

I think it is more of a Mitsu thing. My previous Eclipses (92 GSX, 96 GST, 03 GT) and my Wife's 08 Outlander all seem to have a big turning radius. From my latest Eclipse to my EVO, the EVO actually has a slightly tighter radius though.
