So who traded in what to get a X
loaded 2004 ralliart with a bit under 45k miles on it. Had some work done to improve handling and performance, but needed some minor body work. I got $7k for it and I couldn't be happier
Only regret is that I was too lazy to take off some of the aftermarket stuff to resell.

I traded in my 1989 Toyota Camry, with 330,000 miles on it. $300. I regret the total $/mile I could get. I could pile miles on that old beast without much dough. Needed a clutch so badly I could slip it in any gear if I pressed on the engine. 30mpg was routine so I miss that part of TCO.
I would have kept the car if the wife had agreed. Total insurance went DOWN when I moved from Farmers to Esurance.
Regrets? Tires wear faster at higher g's. LOL

p.s. Love the thread revival. I might have used it during my decision making process. Over a year ago!

If your OEM tires last 12k, that might be right. Mine have 8500 on them in storage, might be able to squeeze another track day, might not. Normal street driving they have less than 1000, more like 500miles left.
And if your clutch doesn't last a lot longer than 12k, that might also be right. The clutch ought to last you to 25k easily, even with pretty aggressive driving. But the clutch can be made to 'smoke' pretty easily I admit. Just don't. It sure ain't asbestos based, that much my nose tells me. The thing is an exotic material, and I'm sure VERY EXPENSIVE. Don't smoke clutches (The surgeon general has determined that its bad for your health -- your wife may kill you for spending money like that unnecessarily)

I traded in an '04 Accord. I used to have an S2000 and wanted another but it's just not practical. My wife told me I could get whatever I wanted as long as it had a backseat, so now I have the best of both worlds with the Evo
traded in my 2008 ram...not many regrets b/c i hate american vehicles and the wife talked me into getting the dodge, but i miss the use of a truck...car has 8k miles and needs tires, brakes squeek, transmission shifts like crap and Mitsu pretty much just laughs about it...and from what i read im waiting for my clutch to go soon. I love the car but for 40k$ i am disappointed. this is my first and last new mitsubishi thanks to their ****ty service..buy a 12k$ corolla and toyota calls YOU to bring it in for service..sorry to vent but the whole transmission problems i have pisses me off with mistubishi...back on topic!
