The manufacturers have always tried to put the responsibility on the owner. I heard they stopped selling the 3000GT here because the warranty claims cost them so much. I bet the Eclipse switched to an N.A. motor for the same reason.

This time around, Mitsubishi did a much better job of training the service managers to blame the owner for everything that ever went wrong with the car. That was probably much less expensive than a factory-installed turbo timer.

bump from the dead AGAIN...had a turbo timer on my previous 2 sti's...its a good thing to have, bottom line...this thread isnt a TT vs. no TT thread! its a "how do i lock my car with a TT" thread...so has anyone found a fix yet or is everyone just doing the roll down the window hit lock then hit auto up button method?

Haha, auto window up.

I'm not a very good electrician, but we really need someone to figure out which wire to bypass to the ECU in regards to this feature.

yea i hear ya on that one...i guess the auto window up method isnt THAT terrible but obviously some sort of bypass would be preferred...
