Is anyone familiar with the one-touch window switches on the X?

Hi All,

Does anyone know if the one-touch up and down operation of the driver's window is controlled by the switch or the ECU? What I'm wondering is if it is possible to get one-touch up/down on the other three windows by simply replacing the switches. I know that this works on some cars that use resistance over the wire to monitor for obstructions (all controlled by the switch), but don't know how the CANBUS system affects this.

Thanks,

--Josh

Using the ETACs you can choose to wind up or down the windows when you press the remote LOCK / UNLOCK button. it comes factory disabled .. you can choose auto fold side mirrors and auto doorlock with the keyless entry .. all these are disabled from factory

Thanks. I've searched, but can't find any info on how you access the ETACs functions. It appears that the Nav system might be able to access these settings, but how is it done in a non-Nav car?

you need to go to setup .. it's press NAVI and and SET for 3.5s to go into service mode .. think there's a menu for you to go ETACs

The windows auto wind up if you press the LOCK 2 times and hold on the 2nd press .. but for wind down, it's disabled ..

Since you guys don't have auto fold mirrors .. then pressing 3 times on the LOCK or UNLOCK button will not fold or unfold the mirror

If the mirror is folded, you can set it to auto unfold at 20MPH/30KMH

Geez there's a bunch of features that you'll definitely want that is DISABLED from factory .. bunch of morons ..

To get to your ALARM mode enabled or disabled (valet or whatever you intend to do after)
Key OFF
driver's door OPEN
lights OFF
Press and hold MIST for 10s .. you'll hear a long beep after

Keep the MIST held towards you .. press UNLOCK once to disable PANIC alarm, press UNLOCK again to enable it ..

Let you guys know what else I found out on the Playstation secret codes if there's more ..

Someone needs to make Mitsu-COM to compete with the VW option. One thing that may sway me to VW is the fact that you can "hack" the car so easy with VAG-COM. (Looking at something to replace my Toyota and the X MR and the R32 are both on my list...)

I tried pressing navi then holding set for 4 seconds... nothing happened. I wasnt able to access those options. Do you have to have an evo X for this to work? I have an 09 Lancer, but I thought for sure the nav systems are the same.?.?.

It's press and hold both NAVI and SET, not just press NAVI, and hold SET.

It works on both the X's navi, and the Lancer's navi.

Anyway, you won't find any really useful options in the "secret menu," and nothing in that menu easily relates to said auto windows and folding mirrors, etc.

But if you're the kind who enjoys testing their speaker's output you'll find the secret menu very fun and entertaining.
