I had this problem on my X as well. All you have to do is reach underneath and apply upward pressure to the bottom of the clip with your fingers while unscrewing the screw from the top. Pushing down in the middle will not work as that will only force the clip that the screw sits in to fan out even wider which is what holds it in to begin with. Another easy way to do this is if you can't get your fingers underneath the radiator support to access the bottom of the clip assembly then you can just try applying upward pressure to the snorkel while unscrewing the screw. All that it needs is some tension on the clip so that the screw has something to squeeze against while it's being unthreaded. Good luck.

I had this problem. I used a small flathead screwdriver. Take it and work it in between the plastic screw and the ring around it. It doesn't even need to be in that much. Push down on the flathead to make the screw come up. Mine doesn't look bad, but you can tell I screwed it up, no pun intended. It will strip the screw (which is probably already stripped). I just shove mine back in there when I want to put it back and use the same method to get it out.

I couldn't get it out by prying the whole thing out, so you're not alone on that. Work on that inner screw.

you have to unscrew them without putting pretture downwards and they easily come out.

I had this problem. I used a flathead and pressed on the rim right outside the screw and lifted it up. It came right out and then I took off the rim.

I suspect you could drill it out like a pop rivet.
