Thumbs down hood latch broke on x

My hood latch has always been hard to pull to open the hood, upon inspection everything looks normal, I adjusted the hood down to maybe take off some pressure off the latch, but that didn't work and finally today it snaped the plastic handle.

Anyone else have this problem. I knew it would happen with how its so hard to pull to pop the hood.

guess a trip to the dealer is in order.

The hood latch is hard to pull - I worry about this happening quite often.

I think this is a recuring problem for many new Xs. Mine was that way and I took it to the dealer. They had to order a new cable because it was either too short or binding on something-I don't remember which. Anyhow, the latch was extremly tight, and I did not want to break it. So two weeks later, the dealer installed the new cable and now it works great. So far after 4,000 miles, it is the only thing to go wrong-

i doubt mitsu service will actually just order stuff for you, unless you actually have a problem.

Have the dealer look at it next time your in. If it is tighter than normal-anyone can be able to tell-they will either fix it under warranty or order a new cable and fix it in about an hour. It may not be easy to fix without ordering a new part.
