My insurance plan has glass coverage and I didn't know about it till I looked through my policy when a rock cracked the windshield on my Escalade. So, I filed a claim with the insurance company. I took the car to the guys I had normally work on the car and they put it on no problem. Didn't raise my monthly premium at all. Saved me a bunch of money.

Unhappy Need a newre windshield on X

First time posting anything of substance. But today as I was on a 4 lane highway, i was trying to pass a truck and this old lady was blocking the fast lane. Long story short by the time I got passed the truck I got a pretty good size rock about 3/4 of the way up the pass side corner and cracked to almost half way across to the center of the windshield. Less than 1500 miles and needing a new windshield and back bumper repainted from someone scratching it in a parking lot!!!!!!!

Has anyone used any aftermarket glass on the X yet. I dont have the auto wipers, so if there is no need i wont go with the factory glass so it wont cast me 5K to get the thing replaced.

Look forward to hearing from you.

I love this network!

I had my windshield replaced, it happend right before I shipped the car to Guam. You should not have any problems finding replacement glass.

Do your insurance cover it for free?

Mine did not. Costs about $400.00

I went with aftermarket glass, I had no choice because the car had to be shipped that day. Transporters will not accecpt anything with broken glass.

Only a few X's on Guam, I have not seen another one, but I have been told that there are one or two up on the airforce base, you never know because the base lancers look too much like EVO's
