New Evo X APR and Leases...

Just wondering if u guys have noticed the new rates on the Evo X.. I still have yet to sign for mine but it looks like they eliminated the College Grad rebate from the entire line completely. I might have to hold out and see how desperate Mitsu gets at the end of the year when the '09 comes outs and they still have tons of '08's still gathering dust on dealer lots.

That is a terrible lease. Money factor is through the roof.

Yea after doing some calculations, I came to the same conclusion. However, it still looks WAY better than the current 135i leases ... omfg test drove one the other night with a buddy. really nice car but they wanted an assload for the leases. Just preliminary pricing of course but they were at like $540 for 24 mths with an 8K driveoff and it just got worse from there with the terms. I was like.. I think i'm going back to the Mitsu dealer and buy an Evo..see u later.

When dealerships give terrible lease deals like the one Mitsu has and BMW has, try to find a local bank or credit union that does leases as well.

Just like financing, third party banks will also do leases. You just have to find the right one.... usually they can do better money factors and sometimes even residuals.

I used to sell cars for a couple years when I was in college so I know a lil bit about all that but I am not a lease buyer at all. I'm 31 and I've only owned 2 cars. An '89 CRX Si, I bought when I was 20 and owned for 5 years 'til some lowlife stole it, and my current car, a '98 Civic Hatch [which I have owned since then]. I'm only considering selling it bc I can get rid of it quickly, and get a good price w/o hassle due to the price of gas right now. Well that and I finally make enough to put my hands on an Evo X, which is what I've always wanted. I was looking at leasing with my buddy who seems to enjoy trading up more frequently than I [every 2 years or so], which is downright silly to me.

See, I'm like you're friend. I've never owned a car more than 2 years. I like to switch it up... often..

that was a great deal. When I bought my 05 MR, that was the promotion for us....I did not pay for any maintenance at all. I ust drop of the car every 5000 miles. all work included even drivetrain fluid change...

I too sold cars when i was an undergrad....the sales people jokingly called it "fleasing" instead of leasing. You always end up paying more. there is no free lunch

Maybe w/ stealership leases, if you bring your own, you can make out great.

You'd be surprised at how many there are. There was a big leasing thread a few weeks back with alot of folks detailing their lease deals...
