Apex silver evo x mr. Got it 8 days ago. The thing is just wicked! I am following the break-in period described in the owners manual, but can tell you that at 3000 rpm power comes on like gangbusters. I have driven a 600 HP corvette, 198? 911 turbo, and a late model stock car (500+hp and 7.56 rear end gear) and can say that the evo is more fun ( maybe not than the late model). The handling is crazy. I have a lot of nice curvy sweet roads around and have driven many of them. My kids boy 11 and girl 13 are freakin out when I take a 90 at 45 or 50 Mph. This thing just sticks, no drama, hardly any body roll. Mid angle transitions are flawless. Swift lr or r-l transitions can sometimes confuse the AWC. I have yet to rev beyond 4200 RPM and cannot wait to see what this thing is capable after break in. The seats fit me perfectly but a large 6'4" 250lb friend of mine thought they were tight. I would like some better arm rests as this is my DD ( 30 miles 1 way) SST is really nice, Whether in normal in D or using paddles. Haven't tried s-sport yet ( in a week or 2) Trunk is tiny they have the battery, washer fluid res and one of the dif resoviors in there. But WTF it's an evo. ergonomics are good all around, steeering wheel, radio, shifters (paddle and tunnel, gages. I would have liked telescoping steering wheel but am only about 1-2 inches off optimum. The front wheels dull with brake dust fast!!. I filled the gas tank to the gills and the computer stated that I could only drive 190 miles. the computer also stated that my average MPG was 18.7 ...range is pretty pathetic...again it's an EVO. the only negative comments i have had about the car (very few) have been about the overly large wing. Get over it!!! They still wish it was their's. overall this car is a home run ... lets see if can kkep up over the next couple years...bet it can
Congrats on the car...mileage, meh..ur right its an evo. I noticed that mine got a little better. I got 24 mpg on the highway! The wing isn't so bad, its a little more subtle than the VIII's or the IX's. Post pics if u get a chance.
Congrats and yes the wheels do tend to dull a little bit with the dust. Try some car wax like meguiars on the wheels (inside and out) it will help the dust not to stick to the actual wheel and with just a spray from the hose the dust comes right off. (it also works on race car wheels where "track boogers" come into play). Just a tip.
