Question Will a 4g63 motor fit in a X?

Does anyone know if a 4G63/4 motor will bolt straight in to an Evo X?
I am hoping engine mountings/bellhousing etc are the same.
Obviously new/bespoke downpipe/intercooler/ECU/wiring will be required but I have a monster 2.5 800bhp 4G64 based motor thats nearly finished and fancy it in a X.

Stop clinging to.. the... past... Let the 4G63 gooo... the 4B11T is a better motor... and the short answer is anything could be done with enough time/money but it just isn't practical/intelligent/legal to put an older motor into a newer car.

Throw it in a Dodge Colt!

Or... sell it and be one of the first to delve into the depths of the 4B11T and test the limits !

You'll spend more money trying to shove a 4G64 into an X then building the 4B11T to identical specs of the one you've got.

Yes it would fit with enough money but remember its incompatible with the new Evo X drivetrain. You would have to swap the 4G63 and it drivetrain out of a Evo 8/9 and squeeze it into the X but the dimensions are all wrong.

i guess the designers of the Z06 were just completely stoned when they decided to put a overhead valve/ pushrod small block in it.

Ya because that particular analogy is apt

im just saying that there is absolutely nothing wrong with a tried and proved motor combination. so to say that the new 4B is a better combination is completely unfounded.

Engine is rotated 180 degrees in the CZ4A. With money, anything is possible. Simple swap? No.
