I was contemplating tossing my X away too. ($623/month. $0 down at 6.5%, I think?). But as most folks are saying its going to cost me too much money. I enjoy the car so I'm just gonna keep rolling with it since it doenst really cause me too much monetary damage. When It starts to break even in a couple years it's going then. I like the Evo, but I'm not a fanboy by any means. Its merely more of a placeholder until my 68 Camaro is restored. Then I'm going to get a late 90s Tahoe or something, go to school and the like. Just stick with it, or total it

It also depends what you paid for the car to begin with. I paid $33,500 for mine and financed it through my bank. I put down $15,000, 60 months, 5% Rate and my payments are $340 a month. I could never have a car payment over $400 a month at this point and time.

Likewise a lot of us can't cough up $15k to put down. Pay now, pay later, its all what you can do. In hindsight I certainly wish I had put some money down, but my other car was always broken and one was getting restored (and thus zapping my 'extra' money).

Seeing the payments you guys have, I'm definitely not regretting getting my IX haha.

My payments were only $429 before I paid it off to clear my credit for our mortgage.

$700 is just ridiculous.

Well.... the other point of view is, if you don't have $15k to put down, don't buy the car. It's definitely a 'want', not a 'need'.
