Purchasing Evo X MR...but there is a catch!
Are you referring to the white MR out front at All-Star Mitsu in Sayreville, NJ? When I took a test drive for a GSR (the sales guy just took it for a spin since I'm learning how to drive stick), the guy didn't beat on the car at all. He drove like a b*tch and kept missing shifts, but he didn't beat on the car. 1,000 miles is a LOT though, so I'd be wary...
I would def not buy it, but it's your call.

it's not like it has 10k miles on it. Personally if you got a good deal on it, why not. maybe have them through in free maintenance on it. The Honda I just got rid of was rode hard from day 1 (8 miles) and had 60k when I got rid of it with absolutely no problems. Just my 2 cents.

Did you just compare a honda to a
? To OP:
If it's a good deal and the car has the options you want. I say go for it! I've driven my evo hard from 5miles to 3500 right now. Only issue is the tranny. (I don't have second gear from 8am to 11:49am, yes it goes by time) but the MR doesn't have the same tranny.
My evo was built pre-all the flashes. I think(at least I like to) b/c of how I "broke" it in that none of the studdering issues attacked me. The engine is solid.
Just one thing, look at the tire-tread. If the tread is pitted at all, I'd demand new tires saying it would not pass inspection! Than cry.
I would not touch that MR with a 10 foot test pipe.
