Should I keep my evo viii or upgrade to a evo X
See every one is going to have there own opinion. My bro has an VIII and i fell in love with his car but wasn't far enough into the military to afford a evo yet. Then when i can finally afford one the X came out. And i think the X looks a lot better then the older evos (MY OPINION). I could of gotten a used 8 or 9 but had to have the X ftw.
I love the X and either way you look at it its the newest and best evo to come out. And yes it getting more power with basic bolt ons then the 8 and 9 evo's are.
I would say if money isnt a issue then def UPGRADE. My bro has been thinking about it but money is an issue for him. (has to many student loans lol)

depends. An 8 will destroy a X soooo if you're using it for drag... stay with the 8... if you want a car for a DD go with the X. Oh and if you have the money go for it. I would keep my 8 and get a X though
The X is not a better car than the VIII/IX. The X is more suited for everyday people who prefer a more normal car with much more convenience and comfort. The the VIII/IX are just simply more raw, better driving machines than the current X. Both the VIII/IX and the X have their advantages for the preferences of certain types of buyers.

As other members have said its all about your preference in what you want.
If your NOT going to mod the car...sure I would get a 10 seeing how its newer...
BUT.....if your going to throw money at the car why bother buying a newer car that hasn't been proven to make large power. IDK....its all what you want.
I bought my viii new in 04 and paid it off a year ago. Than I went crazy with the mod bug and now the car is insane handling and speed. So its nice to not have a car payment or any credit card debt and rock a 550whp pump evo whenever I feel like pulling it out of the garage.
Although its not my daily driver....so again its all what you want.

Reality Check
Meanmachine04, what is it that you are looking for? The Evo X is a different car from the previous models. If you want to continue modifying an older Evo, you will have decent results - up until newer X mods demolish them. It's the nature of the business. Plus, the X has dominating handling capabilities the older ones don't. You won't understand that until you hit your first switchbacks. Much like buying a computer, do you buy one now or wait for a better one later? Meanwhile, you aren't enjoying the benefits of a better one now.

You're the man, Noize.
