Ok fine, maybe it won't set things straight. The guys who have X's will say the X is better and the guys who have 8/9's will say the 8/9 is better. Each car has their own advantages and disadvantages. And it still will not be set straight....never, ever...since everyone has their own opinion. ....WHEW!!!

as a guy who has owned a countless DSM's an VIII, IX RS, and now a X i say go for it. i love my MR plus i got a sick price for it. im so much happier with it on a daily basis. sure its a far cry from my modded up IX on the dragstrip, but who cares? evos are not drag cars to begin with. the cornering is much bettter (a lot less understeer), throtttle response is sharper, its a safer car for my new baby boy, and during rush hour, i just pop it into auto mode. it actually feels like its worth the money this time around. im keeping this one.

Hmm tough call I may just end up keeping my VIII and upgrading the intercooler and piping and put either a 35R or a 37R turbo system into her as well. And when I say monster I mean a car thats just fast in general. Im not a professional driver and will never be and I prolly wont ever set a record because I dont care to build an all out race car...well at least not anytime soon...

Basically my EVO for me is my toy..its my hobbie outside of work..I want it to look nice and clean on the inside which is why im restoring the interior with pretty much all brand new parts so that all the scratched and worn pieces are gone..Im just progressing with the car and I want it to have big numbers and be fast as hell..thats the only way I can put it...i go to shows once in awhile too..its just fun to me...its just easier to describe my power goals as building a monster..

I really dont know how else to explain it and i might just keep the VIII then...if the X is more soft I dont want that...i like the driving experience my VIII provides me with its unlike any other car and if i gotta sacrafice that for cruise control and climate control then im not down with that.

Well I dont have a kid and i think with money the car can go in a few different directions...if it wasnt a drag car to begin with..well people are running sick times with them haha and they can also do rally and auto cross events...just seems like to me with ur money you can bring it in almost any direction you want..i prefer the drag scene. and this car is not a daily driver for me so i dunno i guess its different for me

I love the x and opted not to sell my IX because it really did not offer that much more over my IX for the extra debt I would incur.

the X will go around you in turns. And you can always can add power.
Not to mantion the diet . Little effort my car weights less then my VIII did.
and you certanly didn't drove tuned X.

I don't like the way you sit down inside the X. I don't like the seats in the X. Yes it is safer car with side air bags. I don't like the plastic side skirts and the plastic pedals and the tape on the inside window frames instead of paint. The 5 sp is geared too short and the trunk is too small. The car just feels cheap compared to my Evo 8. Everybody says AYC is the Sh**t, but I see mixed reviews about it on the track. The fast key is great and the upgraded brakes are good, but the car still does not come with a boost guage. Underneath the car looks well designed. Maybe I will feel a little better about the car when I get a tune. I need a tune because I have no chance against a stock 335i. Who knows how much abuse the X's drivetrain will take. I just think it is too early to crown the X best evo ever. Rant off.
