Parking far sucks also. I remember driving one time from maine to maryland and i stopped in NJ at a supermarket to grab a bunch of sandwiches and whatnot cause its cheaper than gas stations... anyways, i though parking further out would be a good idea and it was at the time, but as i was exiting the store, i saw some lady with her kid get into their car and she pushed her cart out of the way ( mind you she wasnt parked next to anyone at the time) it hits the curb, turns and heads straight for my car. i start walking faster till i got to a sprint, and that lady saw me (we made direct contact) and she sped off as fast as she could. That B****!!!! Thats all i have to say about that. I dislike Jersey very much now, especially the tolls. I love cali, couldnt be anywhere else. At least the area im in are somewhat considerate

oh yeah, my car lost a bit of paint on the rear passenger door
Now my strategy is to park next to the other nicest car in the lot mostly BMW's AUDI, Porsche ...

Yeah, less than 2 months after I bought my evo, I got 3 little nice dings on my car. Luckily my dad's friend who works at an auto shop was able to fix it very quickly. But I feel your pain. A ding is not a big deal if you can fix it quickly. But when the paint is scratched, that's when **** gets annoying. Have you noticed that even though you tend to park far away, there's an ahole that will always park right next to you?

Everytime I was my car, I discover a new something...

That happens every where all the time.. and you will notice that people who care about their nice cars will always park awAy from tight spaces where careless folks will pull too close and or bang their door on yours.. I always park fare from everybody cause i dont want to spend another $700 to fix a dented fender from a fool parking too close then hitting my parked car while pulling out...

I'm always in the farthest spot as well and I used to double park. But, with my luck, double parking will just get me towed and ruin my car anyhow so I stopped doing it.

I could so make a mini movie of this experience . With bullet time slow down to where you dive and try to divert the cart.

Sorry to hear about this. I enjoyed your peoples court movie last time tho.

Hopefully no damage.

I park far away. If I park close sometimes I will take a pic of the license plates of the car or cars near me. Sometimes things happen but I just use the best judgment on situations that will. If something were to happen I would get insurance info. You are the one that will have to look at the car and feel the pain until it is fixed not the other inconsiderate party. So as they may feel you are crazy, overreacting, or whatever it is better to face that head on IMO.

I do that to but often if a female is driving those cars she wont care at all and will hit your car with her door too... or one of the nice cars will leave and a 82 for escort will pull in..

I feel ya man. I just payed $750 to fix key marks from a vandal. Picked up the car and the same day some a hole left me a parking lot present in the form of a door ding. On the door that was just freshly painted no less! Some people just don't care...

I went to the Mall, Walmart, and BB and Beyond yesterday. All 3 places I parked at least 8 spots from the nearest car. All 3 places I came out to find ****ty 80's minivans parked right next to me. I swear to god I was in the ******* twilight zone.

I do think you need to go on the people's court again though, I watched your whole video and that **** was hilarious. Sorry you might have the same problem again.

My strategy in parking lot is usually

1. Part near the curb so I can pull near the curb as much as possible and leave enough room for people to open their door on the other side.

2. Part far away on an open area. I always think that might not be a good idea because it makes your car stands out. Some kids might do stupid things on your car. It happened to me awhile ago that when I returned to my car I saw a huge ketchup stain on the back of my trunk. The ketchup stain was frozen because it was during Winter. It was a pain to get them out. errr....

Nothing against obese/fat overweight people...but I'll bet that almost all door dings come from majority of these people. A lot of parking spots have enough clearance for sedan doors (4 door sedans). With the door open at about 80% from fully open. Now when you contribute people taking up too much to the left or right, parking crooked, etc...when you weigh freaking 300+lbs, you need that door opened all the way. Shyte, let alone your fat *** needs that support from that door just to get out of the car...bam! Door ding!

The point of this reply? Don't park next to fat people.

Reminds me of when i drove my bros accord....lady opens her door into his sideview mirror....says oops and laughs.....if I was on the passenger side I would have got out and kicked her quarter panel and said oops!

I hate ****ing snooty women. Some of them just need a good choking.

Some people have no respect for someone elses car. I would need to vent as well. Things like this **** me off, it makes me feel like you can't own anything nice in the country.

The stupid trucks who lose rocks all over the highway and streets **** me off. WTF, you can't just have **** falling off your car hitting other people's cars. I have a chip like that from a rock coming off a truck. Or when a bunch of douche bags decided to put fresh oil on a street but leave it open, and than the **** won't come off!. arg!

LoL I know! I have the same thing. I parked once a entire parking lot across and when I came out some ****ty Cadillac and a minivan were parked next to me.
