Not AGAIN!!!
I’d only had my X about 3 weeks before someone hit it in a parking lot.
Of course it was parked in the boonies and of course they did not leave a note...
The really sad part is that there are a lot more people out there that could car less about cars, yours, mine or anyone else’s then there are enthusiasts that do.
Many years ago, I had just completed the restoration of an old sports car. On my way home from work one particular day I stopped at the store to get some groceries. I sat in the car a few minutes while I compiled a list of things I needed and then it happened, a woman next to me opened her car door into the side of my freshly painted sports car. I quickly emerged and immediately began inspected for damage, it was pretty bad, the door would have to be repainted! I asked the woman for her insurance info, and the snooty lady just blew me off. She said, “you have to expect that when you come to the market.” I was so pissed that I followed her right into the market and to each person she passed I explained what had happened. I asked each of them what they thought of a person that would do such a thing. Each reply was unfavorable for the lady. Finally she could take no more, she ran away and quickly returned with the store manager and a security guard. She told them that I was harassing her and she wanted them to make me stop. Of course I told them both what had happened then I turned to the woman and said, Lady, “you just have to expect that when you come to the market.” You damaged my car and you failed to take responsibility for it!
I never got a dime from the woman, but I got a million dollars worth of nasty looks directed at her from nearly everyone in the store!

man so far nothing has happened to me (execpt when i got rear ended but got fixed through insurance)
i always park to places where there's no cars around it and some what far. and as for someone walking up to the car and damaging it, to me i would rather park far, because if someone really wants to damage your car, then they will regardless of where you car is.
but so far the safest thing for me is
1. Park far away not near many cars or carts.
2. Park next to Evos, STIs, or other sport cars (mainly stick, because if its like a mustang but auto, i would assume its not someone that cares about cars >.>)
3. Drive a old car out >.>
