The raliart isnt wide body either. So the wheels or suspension wont fit. Honestly the only thing that i can see fitting is internals. obviously interior. maybe an intake. Stickers of course, lots of stickers. air fresheners. floormats. same size beverages will fit too which is exciting

the ra is closer to the evo than the lancer. It has the exact same suspension as the evo ix, same engine as the x with smaller turbo and milder tune. In essence it is basically a detuned evo

Wrong. Try again. It has even been stated by Mitsubishi that the RA is closer to the regular Lancer than the Evo. You're looking at the obvious. You do realize there is a lot more underneath that sheet metal than the obvious, right?

Its a beefed up version of the GTS. Mitsubishi does not want anyone to say its a de-tuned EVO. It has the Evo IX 4WD system, no S-AWC. Dont ask why, bc that is what it is. Parts should fit. Its still a 4B11T, but with a single scroll turbo, and different cam profiles. The internals are not as strong as the X though. I have found the OEM parts from the X fit the lancers minus the rear. So, I am sure there are tons of things that could be swapped.

It has the same SST Transmission found on the MR.

How is it closer to the Lancer?

Ralliart to Evo X
1- Both have AWD (I know they arent the same, but its still closer to the evo than standard Front wheel drive)
2- Both have a 2.0l 4b11t (Turbo) MIVEC engines
3- Both have an SST Tranny (MR only)
4- Interior - Exact (Except for the AWC switch on the steering wheel)
5- 58 horsepower difference (Ralliart to Evo)
6- Ralliart has the Evo X hood
7- Both have Dual Exhaust

Ralliart to the Lancer
1- Almost exact Body (Front grille is different)
2- Interior - Similar, but different steering wheel and shifter.
3- Tires/Wheels - Probably the same (Wheels may be a bit darker)
5- 67 horsepower difference (For an 09 GTS) (83 Hp difference for an 08)

Feel free to add anything significant I missed.

I fail to see how it is closer to the non-turbo, front wheel drive, economy/family sedan the Lancer is. Regardless of what mistu said.

definitly not..

most of us on here has seen a lot of into on the RA me included because i thought about buying one..the RA and MR are far more alike than a GTS

just becaues you paid an extra 10k over the RA and the RA has the exact same potential and motor dosent make it any closer to a GTS

geesh some evo owners hate to admit that it can be compared with lower costing vehicles.

Whatever, its a detuned evo spin it which ever way u want, I bet its a lot cheaper to get a ra to evo level than a gts. Dont see what the problem is they are all in the ss family

Will you stfu, production is base on saving money. Its more cost efficient to tune down an Evo then to upgrade a Lancer.

Also read what Bawb3 reply to you..

Ha, that's funny that I see that mentioned "The same engine" , isn't it the same engine across the board? Regular Lancer, Lancer Ralliart, Lancer Evo GSR/MR? So same engines tuned differently and two totally different turbos on Ralliart and Evo. Twin Scroll for the Evo and slightly bigger and Single Scroll for the Ralliart. As said Ralliart, no S-AWC....

Pretty sure the regular lancer is still an open-deck while the RA/Evo/GSR are semi-closed deck. That's a big difference imo...

Also, 2007 Lancer had 4B11 (open-deck (4B11T is semi-closed)) while the 09+ Lancers have the 4b12 if I am not mistaken..

This is my first Evo, and I don't tend to read a lot about the lancer itself, so I could be wrong...

Edit: Put 08+, meant 09+

Also the automatic transmission will only have the normal and sport mode. No "sport +" mode will be offered. I am still curious to see how much power the trannies will be able to withstand.
