Anybody selling MR's at invoice yet?
Holy smokes that is great! If they indeed are selling the base MR for 35K, it is cheaper to buy from them and have it shipped than to buy local!
I think it is funny that ALL (Toyota, ford, Nissan, GM) have to discount their trucks by thousands, BMW and Infiniti are selling their cars for less than sticker and are willing to deal, yet I keep reading reports of Mitsu not willing to budge on the price of the X.
I like the X and it may be (hopefully) my next car, but not for full MSRP. The invoice released to yahoo is $36,030, which is still usually making money for the company as it is the public 'invoice' not what dealers are paying for them. But maybe this is why they are only selling a couple hundred X (GSR and MR) each month nationwide. Sometimes it is the economy.

You are exactly right, "making money for the company". Not the salesman that sells you the car, he doesn't make **** when you buy a vehicle at invoice. I'm not saying you should pay MSRP but atleast pay $1,000 over invoice.
Invoice pricing is a standard industry practice on most mainstream cars that are produced in high numbers.

this must be close to invoice with the options.

The dealers arrangement with the salesmen are nothing I care about specifically. I'm not going to feel the need to pay somebody $1000 to spend a couple of hours with me. I tell you what- fire them all and just maintain the finance guys for the loans-I can do a deal with the fleet guy or through the internet etc. Tell me again why I need a salesman? How much do I owe on that Corvette I test drove 6 weeks ago? Their price sucked so I waited for the GMS promotion and brought my own money to another dealership with a better optioned car.

Only thing you care about is yourself, wow. Let's see why do you need a salesman. Well he welcomes you to the dealership, tries to find the correct vehicle to match your needs, demo drives you, prepares all the paperwork, then has to negotiate his paycheck with you because you won't pay a dime of profit. That's what salesmen do. Everyone needs to get paid for their work! So stop sucking the life out of the economy and give something back, which means pay fair profit for the things you purchase instead of looking for the BEST deal for yourself.
C'mon...new cars are just a product. They make money on used cars, trade-ins, and exploiting human nature and impulsiveness on the upsell. I can't honestly believe you feel the need to throw in an extra $1000 on top of the smaller profit price. I'm not saying every car I have ever purchased was invoice, but the evoX and about a million other cars are being seriously discounted in today's market. If somebody is starving in a sales job, maybe they should just improve their skillset and get into something else. Save the world with your own wallet.
