Ed Voyles here in Atlanta switched to either Hyundai or Kia (can't remember which) over the Summer. Rick Case in Roswell is still Mitsu but they don't really advertise it, they are pushing Hyundai. Their sign on the street doesn't even say Mitsubishi!

Sunny's Honda/Mitsubishi here in Valdosta is gone now. They sucked anyways. Now it sucks getting OEM parts for mine quickly. Good thing some Dodge parts are from Mitsubishi. Wife works at Dodge Chrysler and gets me what I need.

When I bought my Evo IX back in 2007 there were three Mitsu dealers in Raleigh, NC. Now there is only one remaining.

The number of Mitsu dealerships closing is a trend that's been going on for a few years...it's just more pronounced this year because of the economy and the sad state of the auto industry. Back in the early 2000s, Mitsu used to have nearly 700 dealers nationwide. Today, they only have 480. They've lost about 1/3 of their dealerships and most of them over the past year or two.

It's sad to see this happening to Mitsu, but they have been digging their own grave for the past 8 years

Mitsu isn't the only one hurting; it is the state of the economy. Check out this story:

They laid off all 150 employees overnight with no notice and closed. I hope this drives the price of all cars down a little.

I bought my 06 MR from El cerrito, East bay Mitsu, damn thing had an insane amount of fallout or rail dust on it, whatever it was it took countless (15+hours) of claybar to get that crap off. Its nice to know that they won't be ripping other people off anytime soon.

When the GSR began to arrive earlier this year, I went there to check em out.
I walked around, and sat in for over 10 min before any sales person showed up.
When one came out, he was so eager to show me the car that he started to rev
the engine hard, right in the middle of the little show room. As you could imagine,
the air pretty soon became blue and life threatening. A manager came out shouting:" Shut it down!...."....
