Red or GG?

Go GG as it is the more refined, mature choice.

Seriously though, I was looking for a GG until I saw the blue in person. But I have to admit, a Red X with gunmetal wheels looks sick!

I guess that didn't really help you, huh...

 

With no gimmick mods, white looks the best on all performance oriented Japanese cars, whether it be a gutted out race car or one with a few bolt ons. But then that is just my opinion.

 

I agree. Its just not the same, although I am biased

If there were RR's when I bought my GG I would have gotten a RR handsdown. This is only for the 8/9 though. The X RR just doesnt look right IMO.

I had to make the same choice. I sold my my car and waited a couple weeks before ordering my X from S.C. I drove my wifes car which is GG and I had more people pull out in front of my than I could count. Never had the problem in my RR SI. Not sure if the color had much to do with it but it helped make my decision easier.

 

Well I went with....dun dun dunnnn...RR I honestly sat at the dealer for 45 mins looking at both cars next to each other and I really really liked both of them. Both in my opinion wouldve been sweet. I have always had dark cars so this was a nice switch. And the grills and vents just didnt accent the GG as well as the RR since they are black imo. However, it all came down to a coin flip two out of three for me. It was 2-0 RR so I went with it.

Thanks for comments but I guess it came down to fate, lol.

Well congrats on the new X! Although I'm sorry to say I agree with those that said neither -lol. But I think you made the right choice, GG is just too conservative of a color for an Evo, IMO. Blue is the color for me on these cars.

btw - When I saw the thread title, I thought it was a poll for a new color for the Evos -lol.

I basically agree with that, RR or GG are not the absolute best colors. Black has always been my favorite but I needed something new, black is impossible to keep clean and shows imperfections very easily. However because this dealer gave me a great trade in on my 04 evo that was in an accident (i didnt get in an accident, bought it from a dealer, they said it wasnt in one, it was, we sued, we won, didnt even break even, lawyer got lots from his fees and he won) so I was stuck with this particular dealer. This dealer only had these two GSR evo's so I had to pick one. Selling an evo with problems that has been in an accident in this market blows, so I chose Red from this dealer.

My biggest thing that made me think red was the grills and fender accents were all black, and just didnt stick out or jump out at all on the grey. But in the end came down to a best two out of three coin flip, red won 2-0, lol. So I guess this was all for nothing, but did give me an insight. I don't think any evo colors are bad and i like them all. I am happy with my decision in the long run.

Just got out of college but had a good trade in and the 3000 off msrp from dealer incentive and 2.9% apr from mitsu, and 500 bucks for loyalty for previous evo owner, all good things. Credit score is very high (credit card with paying it off all the time on time i guess) but they needed a copy of my diploma to give me the financing, lol, it was funny and pay stubs so they knew who i was i guess.
