I don't know if any of you saw my previous replies to other 2009 EvoX threads but what I posted seemed to be correct.

Here's the difference:

Engine output: 300ps/43kgm torque
Black tail lights (same as RA)
Cover over middle console (drink holder cover)
Leather emergency brake handle
Chrome trim around some interior such as the A/C control panel.
Smart key is now standard
Auto lights & wipers are now standard

Optional:
Full leather RECARO seats
Small rear wing (like standard USDM wing)

Oh and the base 2009 model is around $2,800 USD more than the 2008.

Agreed, with SSS package, this is pretty useless if you got the GSR, except the black tails, I might end up getting those, havent decided yet.

Is the HP now 295 with torque ~311, so slight bump?

this credit crisis is going tosuper hurt Mitsu's bottom line. this is exactly what they didnt want. mean while honda and toyota will absorb potential buyers for their economy line of cars.

Look at the premium brands (bmw, etc.). Heck, look at the domestics.

They aren't cutting prices. They are raising them.

Do I think the MR @ > $40k is overpriced? Sure. But if it's 41.5 vs. 40.5k will it deter people? Not the ones that are serious about it.

 

i agree, after reading this, the 08 doesn't seem bad, how long do you guys think that 0% financing will last.

 

ur right, most people that want to buy an evo , are serious buyers who really like the car for its performance, and a slight increase in price will not deter them from buying the car.

however mr. average joe 350Z luvin dude who isnt even thinkin about buying a mitsu for 40K that anybody hardly knows and gets less attention than other cars, will not buy it at 41 K either. or at 32k (GSR) for that matter.

i think its better, less of us around
