My brother is currently looking into an EVO X, so I thought I join here and check what they have been going for.
I've seen that some of you have gotten some pretty sweet deals deals, I'm curious to ask those of you that bought outside your home state. Do you have to pay sales tax in the state you bought the car and again in your home state??? Also for those of you in Illinois, do you guys/gals know of any dealerships in the chicago land area (preferably the northern burbs) that are offering great deals?
Thanks in advance!

Well, you just missed the boat.
The 0% 60 months financing ended today and who knows if Mitsubishi will extend it.
I am in Illinois... I would stay away from Grand Mitsubishi as I learned their salesmen aren't the most knowledgeable and Grand Mitsubishi does not go through with what they offer. They will advertise low but when you get there they don't make good on the deal.
I would try Max Madsen, they have three locations so they have a large inventory to choose from.

I tried Mike Miller Mitsubishi in Peoria Illinois, Mitsu in Bloomington, Illinois; Schaumburg, and Libertyville. Read my thread on libertyville in the MW section. That dealership is a joke. I also called every other dealership in Illinois and a few in Indiana and Iowa.

Too bad the '09's haven't come out. Then the dealers would really need to push these.
It's just ridiculous that most of these cars are over a year old and the dealers are trying to get MSRP for them. Come on, these are '08 MY that you are trying to sell in 2009!
I need to find a dealer who isn't an *** and is willing to sell these for fair market value.

Anyone recently pick up an MR? I'm thinking about an MR with Aero and NAV package but wanted to see what a reasonable price would be for it. I was offered $500 below invoice for one, how much lower than invoice can this car be had?
