Is it just me or did the MSRP on the X MRs go up in the last few months? Seems like the GSRs are staying right around $34k base but the MR is now like $38k base... has anyone bought a MR from a dealer lately. I'm having a hard time finding just a base MR with no navi package... i would like the side skirts too but not necessary.

i thought that bill for new cars passed but the housing bill got the thumbs down. it was supposed to be 10% or 15k for new home purchases.

I would jump on that if it were PB. Looks like a great deal, so I thought I'd share.

this would be a decent price but they jacked it up by a 1000, they had it for 32995 the other day, this one is brand new over 38K MSRP

This year looks like it will be a great time to buy a new Evo X for those that can afford it. You got the stimulus incentives on tax paid, interest loan (no benefit if the 0%interest stays), upcoming 2010 X with some upgrades, possible deals on left over 2008 X's.

100k warranty would be great if that was to be added or even a small cash rebate.

I believe I read that any car purchased from Nov 2008 through Dec 2009 is eligible. Of course you'll get to claim the credit on your 2009 taxes.

In short, never. You can get a deduction (not a credit) for state and local sales tax paid for new vehicle purchases. The interest deduction (never was a credit) didn't make it through.

However, there is a $2,500 CREDIT for low speed, electric "neighborhood" vehicles. Sounds like I can finally buy that golf cart I always wanted. :-) Friggin politicians and their pork!

slightly off-topic, when I drive and think of my decision for this over some other rally ricer in AWD-land, I think I was right on the mark to spend the extra dough on THIS evo, no real discount, over the Subie WRX STI or Subie-lite WRX. Creature comforts this may have some improvement areas if you're so inclined. I'm not. It rides great, but IS SO MUCH DARN FUN FOR THE MONEY!!!!

Love my evo!
Glad you like it, but you overpaid.

I've been trying to get a dealer to call me back.... I'm looking to buy a MR. I have alot of cash down, and great credit. But dealers don't want to call or email me back. I've tried Sam @ Southcoast, and a few local dealers...

I'm looking for WW MR, SSS, Navi, and maybe Aero.... What is considered a good buy for that setup with and without Aero. Thanks.

Well considering the MR doesn't have SSS as an option...haha just playing. A good deal on an MR Tech (essentially SSS and Navi in one package) is maybe $34-35 before TTL, good deal on one with aero is ~$1500 more than that.

invoice on a base MR is $36,089
invoice on the technology package is $2,232
destination charge is $695
invoice for an MR with tech package and destination charge is $39,016
assuming a 3% holdback, the dealer likely paid 39,016*0.97 = $37,845.52

So, how do you figure you can get one for $34-35k? Is my math correct?

Invoice on the aero package is $1,499. So, you are correct on that one.
