Eric, where do you suggest installing the sub belt mounting eye? There are components under the stock seat. Have you made custom rails for a race shell?

When! Do you recommend a 2" lap belt with the 3" shoulder belts if no sub belt is used. What has to be removed under the seat to mount the sub belt attachment?

i see this is up on the website. now i have a question about the the pillar trimming. do you send directions as to how and/or where to do this trimming? i am not interested in removing the pillars and sending them in to have this done but i would like some input to keep from messing things up. thanks.

I'll be posting my install of the Harness Bar this week for everyones review. It's a very nice piece and installs with no hassles. AMS gives you a template for trimming the B pillar cover. I wanted to trim it myself and had no issues (used a Dremel). This bar works perfect with my stock seats and belts as well as my 1 piece race buckets and 5 pt Harnesses. I was a little worried about how far I could push back the seat, but had no problems there either. I have a 34" inseam and got the seat back far enough with plenty of tilt/angle for the seat to be comfortable.

Great Harness Bar and a great price.

I haven't mounted the sub yet, but probably will do it where the box is. It'll be done per the NASA and Schroth specs which I believe is 0-20 degrees from the seat opening.

it is not recommended that people ride in the back seat, no due to lack of room because there is plenty even with the harness bar, but due to safety. the bar could kill someone slamming into it during a sudden stop or wreck. yes it works with the stock recaros i am 6'2" and have the seat all the way back and it will touch the bar. if you move the seat up one notch and then tilt it a little bit it won't touch and there is still plenty of room.

Harness Install pics

Here's a few pics of my AMS Harness Bar installed. The rear seats still work great, but I would recommend the rear passengers wear their seat belt. The benefit to the rear bar for the rear passengers is they can hold on to when you're blasting through the canyons.
