C63 vs M3 vs ISF vs Evo MR
Yes thats the thing...
For 996, it made sense, GT1 competed in GT1, GT2 in GT2, and GT3 in GT3, but for 997 it doesn't seem like the name mean anything anymore
we're just playing with him no worries, I'm sure he meant boost controller or a hybrid like you're talking about
back to OP and his topic, if you track a lot, you'll save a ton of money by going the evo route. Wear n tear items really add up, and repairs will bring some big dents to your wallet especially the other three cars. Otherwise for generic use or all around use, test drive all cars and pick what your heart tells you.

And I wasn't defending him against the "attack", I was just sayin the possibility.
Continued on topic: I agree for the most part, but do your research if that is the only thing you're looking for as a factor. I've been shocked in the year of owning the Porsche that the wear and tear items have cost less than a year's worth of wear and tear on the Evo (brake pads, oil changes, tc/tranny changes, tires) after everyone's stereotype of "German cars are more expensive". And that is with tracking it just as much as the Evo, and driving it equally on the street. But those are the smaller/shorter term/more basic wear and tear items.
Agreed, but Porsche has a lot of crazy things going on these days, but no one says they have to follow the Le Mans numbers for their cars, none of the other competitors even use the Le Mans numbers in their production cars.

"I just got rid of a 2007 335i after 14 months because I did not care at all for the automobile. I hated the suspension, even with dual adjustable coilovers. I can say however that with the turbo timer, the car was 10mph faster than my 310 awhp Evo X at the end of the straight. "
Can you explain to me how did you achieve that with the turbo timer?

I meant a turbo tuner: SSTT/Split Second Turbo Tuner chip mod.Regarding the GT2, this was not the car Nissan was going after, but the generic 911 civilian turbo. Anyway, under 8 minutes is great for any car.
guys, please stop arguing, I found the solution to this debate here:

I dont get it. Thats not a sulution. That proves that a RWD car needs down force at the rear end and it happens that (possibly) an evo wing followed the lines and the owner liked it.
To that I would add that Carrito found that Honduh head studs fit the X.
By your rationale-you X owners are all Civic fanboys-yo.

All of the cars discussed are great cars and it really comes down to personal taste, money you want to spend for purchase, and mod potential.
To me you really cant compare the Evo X to the ISF, M3, C63 mostly because of the build quality, materials used. They are in a different league. Yeah I know you can mod the EVO cheaper.
If it were up to me and money wasnt a factor I would choose a C63. You can mod one now and get some good power. High 11s 1/4 modded. Its probably in the middle as far as price is concerned. Main reason I didnt buy was because they werent out yet and I didnt want another AMG car.
If you want to feel and be one with your car then get the M3. Its the only one out of the 3 that offers a manual trans. Lovely high rev V8 but low tq. This is a downer for me because I am not going to be tracking it all the time and mostly will drive around town. Another downer is that in order to get a comparable car in the ISF you would be looking at a car that MSRPs for 70k+
The ISF is really a contender here too. Great V8, lovely fast shifting 8 speed Trans and of course rock solid toyota quality and reliability. Mine has not had one single issue and that is really something for these high performance cars. It is the Cheapest MSRP wise out of all the models, doesnt have gas guzzler tax and so far is very cheap to maintain.
All 3 of these cars are very expensive to mod. Just a ECU tune alone for the ISF is 4500
At what all these cars cost MSRP wise I would consider the GTR, ZO6, used 997tt also.
All great cars and you cant hate any of them. They all perform great. They all do it in different way.
