Clicking Noise When Turning

Usually on start ups when I turn the wheel ( pulling out of driveway/parking lot) I get a clicking sound/ feeling in the floor/pedals. I can feel it in the floor board and it's a relatively loud sound.

I have about 350 miles on the car now. I found the exact problem in this thread https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=372454 and through PM he said a new clutch was installed and the "click" hasn't come back.

Has anyone else experienced this?

generally in most cases clicking, means axles. But without hearing the exact sound I couldnt say for sure. I'm assuming you have a GSR? 5spd? Maybe the sound he was having was axles but during the clutch replacement they "set" the axles in better. Just a theory..

Thanks for the response and yes it's a GSR. Instead of saying "clicking" I should have said click. It's one click and I can hear/feel it right in the floor boards on the driver side.

I was thinking maybe it has something to do with a "system" kicking on? I'm hoping someone else has noticed this and it's not just me.

Hrmm must be some sort of relay, or actuator of some sort. I don't own an X yet, but I'm buying one this spring I would take it to a dealer, and see if they know what it is.

My Evo X MR does this as well, and so does my friend's 04 STI. I'm thinking it has something to do with the AWD system, but I don't know much about these cars mechanically.

I get this all time in my GSR, most of the time I get it going over speed bumps though.

Strut bar

if anyone is still having this problem, try tightening the bolts on your strut bar real good. This problem went away for me afterwords.
