my situation.

ok so i have a little over 8000 miles on my stock 2010 X and this is what ive been noticing from my car.

one is an obnoxious clicking sound that wasnt there when i bought the car.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yIlLOP1zHY

second is weird idles that have been recently happening.
cold start idle at 1250 rpms needle bouncing
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAWx-vs6F50

warmed up idle at 750 rpms needle bouncing.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=139t95UBE9Q

third is a reall high pitched sound coming from like in between the middle and rear of my car. heard best from the driver side rear wheel well. it changes pitches when car is slightly reved.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fJHcDvpkmk

please let me know if its worth taking to the dealership or if im being paranoid.

and i also feel like my car is lagging like crazy the past few weeks, i used to do be able to do a second gear pull and as soon as id floor it the car would take off, now theres a noticable lagtime between when the pedal hits the floor and when the car takes off. when like i stating before it used to be an instantanious thing.

Thank you

The first movie with the ticking sounds like normal injector tick. The best analogy ive seen on here is a sewing machine on steroids. The second and third movies could be related to the idle/hesitiation that stock evo x's seem to experience. There is a thread on it around here somewhere. Do a quick search and you will find it along with some information on the causes. That last one sounds a bid odd. I'm completely speculating but i know when fuel pumps go out they tend to get real noisy. If it were me, i wouldnt be real worried about any of those issues, however, i would take it to the dealer just so they have a documented instance of your concerns.

Lastly, car could feel sluggish for numerous reasons such as weather, gas humidity ect.... As it gets hotter/humid out, a cars performance can feel slightly lacking.

Take it to the dealer, let them figure it out under warranty.

took it to the dealer when my car was still eligable for a warrenty and they said theyd get back to me cause the word had to get sent out to a rep and that was monthsssss ago and still no phonecall but nothing bad has happened since i posted up this thread. every evo x in my area that ive seen has the same noises so i figure its just normal. and a tune fixed the inconsistent idle

man, i was at the local health food store drive-thru (jack-in-the-box) this morning getting breakfast, and as i was sitting there, i could here the 'pinging/tapping' noise coming from the turbo area reverberating off the drive-thru walls. it got louder and more frequent as i revved higher. something is definitely wrong. the car drives and pulls just fine though. i'm going to get it checked out asap at the dealership...

only problem, i installed a boost gauge over the weekend. the tech dept said they were OK with an air filter and cat-back exhaust, but anything else would probably void. should i reverse the gauge install altogether? i have it 'stealth-mounted' with some ind. strength velcro... i can take the gauge out in 2 seconds and tuck the wires back behind the steering column. the sensor and vaccuum hoses in the engine bay are still visible. should i take them out? i did a pretty clean job of installing them, and the tech manager said he doesn't go looking for anything, but he has an obligation to Mitsu to report if he sees anything...

Blincoln, did you ever figure out what that leak was? Mine has that same high pitched leak, AND same tapping from the turbo area. I'm uploading a video of it to YouTube now...

Edit: I started my own thread so I don't threadjack anymore...
