I've been looking around for anything on the evo x ever racing in the WRC and there is almost nothing only footage of a whole bunch of Subbies... it seems like Rally isnt the evos thing no more and gave the crown to the subbies...

Any hope of ever seeing a Evo X Officialling running in a WRC race??

 

Doubt it....

#1 Mitsu has no money to fund a team
#2 Pretty much all the top cars are hatches. Subaru made the new STI on purpose to make it more competitive in WRC.

 

....if the evo will not be racing in WRC then what is the point of mitsu advertising the new evo as a rally inspired car when the only time the car will see dirt will be when i pull over to the side to take a ****...

its sad i actually was hopeing to see an X ripping the dirt... well atlease the previous generation evos did get the chance!

It really is sad to see a car manufacturer with a fairly successful racing history basically abandon the sport's highest level of competition. Let's just hope they don't leave the industry altogether

 

They need a 5sp ralliart lancer in it.

 

The rally inspired Exo X that we will not sponsor... Mitsubishi.... yup thats sound like the commercial to me.

Its a kick in the *****..

You buy an EVO and rally it if you like but we the manufacture will not cause we're broke.

BTW your warranty is no good ether....

They only have a finite budget. Now, you want to use the money where you think it will have the most impact.

WRC is not that area; the Evo is a niche vehicle and turbocharged 4-cylinder gas engines are nothing new.

That vehicle for the Dakar Rally is a turbo diesel. Expect to see a LOT more turbo diesels coming to the states in the next decade. So the Dakar Rally will be an opportunity for Mitsu to show off its turbo diesel and also do research on it in the most extreme of environments.

 

WOW thats a cool pic of what ever that thing is.... It looks mean as hell... Don't want to see that in my rear view
