LOL, It's just a question of prioritization of issues...so many issues, so little time...

Got my daily/ weekend worrier down to that 3300~lbs. range street duty currently

Removed the heavy rear back seat with all the belt buckles and unnecessary brackets -50~ lbs. and did a mini battery and saved another 20+ lbs. from the stock battery.

Going to look into deleting the AC, Fog Lights, and do two bucket seats to save hopefully another 70-80 lbs.

With my Race wheels and tires being close to 9 lbs. less weight on each corner I should have another 36 lbs. I can save and hopefully get my car to that next goal of 3200 lbs.

If or when the car is not my daily I will consider removing a few more of the daily comforts to try and get the car down to 3100 lbs. range

If the car becomes a full track car in a year or two down the road it will consider CF or gutted doors and trunk and really go for that sub 3000 lbs. range.

The X is heavy, but its got a great solid chassis and setup that I like a bit more than my Evo 8.

I still haven't cut a single thing out and my Evo weighed 3119 on the 15's and that was before I took out the back seat, passenger seat, Rockford sub, the spoiler and other things for the track. It was definitely sub 3000

An Evo X? I'd test your scales.

Yeah that doesn't sound correct at all for a Evo X I haven't cut anything out of mine either, just replaced and removed some things. I am wingless as well, nothing in my trunk except for the Small battery and washer fluid bottle. I have light weight suspension and Titanium exhaust (10lbs for the test pipe and cat back).

Even if I removed both of my Driver and Passenger seat all together and didn't put anything back in it to replace them, delete my AC, and the few other things I want to remove I couldn't even get down to that weight. I would have to really gut, cut and remove several things to get down to that weight.

True... Assuming they've been calibrated properly and are maintained and checked on a regular basis.

Nice car either way

It's really not hard to get weight out of the car if you're willing to spend some cash and take out stuff. **** the front and rear crash beam alone are 70 lbs and if you get a lithium pros battery that's 36 lbs lighter than factory. That's 106 lbs right there alone....

Ah okay I can see that it would be possible to get down to that weight range now.

Kirkey Racing Seats
15" GramLight 57DR
M&H Slicks

Along with your other mods that are very similar to mine would save you a lot!

On top of what I have I can see saving that additional weight with mainly those 3 upgrades.

The Aluminum STM Exhaust, Intake, FMIC do make a big difference too. (I need to do that to mine as well stock parts are too heavy and not very efficient)

With your original post it it was very vague on what you had done and I know you can get a X down to 3000~lbs range before ever cutting anything. Just have to remove certain things and parts to shed that weight.

Very clean and nice car indeed!

Front and rear crash beams are 50~lbs together and stock battery weighs less than 36lbs so unless your Lithium Pro batter weighs lighter than air weights savings of stock replaced with a lithium will probably only save you 30lbs.

I'm not sure where you're getting your weights from but the rear beam alone is 34.6 lbs I believe and the front beam with the steel brackets that bolt it to the car is in the high 20's range and the factory battery is pretty damn close to 40 lbs. The lithium pros battery is 4.......not trying to sound like a jerk but I've done these things, not just talked about them.

I am sure you are not trying to sound like a jerk and neither am I. I have not just been talking about them and actually doing these things myself as well

I got the bumper beam weights form Ryan Gates and plan on weighing mine once I remove them (When my car is not my daily).

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...ml#post6633592

"Rear bumper beam = 33.8
Front bumper beam = 17.8"

I am pretty sure Ryan also removed his front bumper bracket and bolts as well. Not sure if he included those in the weight or with the misc bolt that weighed 3 lbs.

I guess you would also remove the rear tow hook as well and that would put everything in that 70 lbs range. Which I would do.

As for the rear battery I am going off of my factory Panasonic battery that I weighted myself with a UPS shipping scale.

34.88 lbs.

Most of the Lithium batteries I have seen are in that 5-8 lbs range that would be good for an Evo for daily use so my guesstimate on weight savings was saying you would save 30~lbs.

People can argue back and forth and we don't get anywhere. I am going off of what I have seen first hand or from a reputable source.

Maybe the 2013 Evo X GSR is just lighter than the 2008 Evo X GSR I have from the get go that helps on weight I also have nothing done or touched in my engine bay to remove or save weight. All the nice STM Aluminum parts I am sure are lighter than the stock parts they have replaced.

Still Love your car man and respect on doing it very tastefully and clean If I was going drag with my X I would want to model my car after yours!

I daily, AutoX and Track my car so I still haven't gotten too crazy and if I didn't need or want the biggest breaks for stopping these pig heavy cars I would go with something much lighter.

How are the Wilwood brake you have by the way? I am sure they are great for daily and for drag just don't think they would hold up to a track day like a larger rotor would.
