By pass SRS for after market seats?

Same as title? Has anyone successfully bypassed the srs for aftermarket seats yet? I remember seeing a shop car install the Recaro Ralliart seats which came with JDM bypass but that didn't work for the USDM one.

Does anyone know if someone is work on a bypass as well?

Thanks for the input guys.

I haven't seen anything yet. What I am hoping is when EcuFlash hits the market, someone can put in some time to search for the coding associated with the seats, and maybe cancel them out. That would be awesome.

Thanks Logan for the reply! I want to throw in my bride gias in the car already.

I actually found the vendor I mentioned above. It was E-Autosports. They posted that the JDM bypass doesn't work. Also they do have aftermarket hub, quickrelease, and steering wheel but they claim that it didn't throw the light. I also have the same hub and quick release on my 8 and it didn't throw a light. (Well I think i have the same hub and quick release.LOL :P )

Can't you guys use the 330 ohm resistor and insert into the seat air bag plug?

We use the resistor to trip the ecu to let it know the plug in on. No engine light for us STI'er so far. Hope this help.

im pretty sure the resistance used in an STi is different then in an X

that would b the only solution is 2 throw in a resistor, but the problem is no1 has tested the resistance 4 the X

because from wht i hear if u put in the wrong resistance 1. the light will still b on or 2. ur airbags will deploy

so no1 has tried 2 put a resistor in their car yet, or even test for resistance =\

until some1 decides 2 find resistance were all stuck with the SRS light both regular lancers and evo =\

LOL anyone want to be the test dummy / guinea pig and let all the evo x and lancer community know what worked?

im surprised that non of the tuners that play with the ECU have come along with a solution to this... can't the little light just be disconnected or something?

i dont think so

in other cars most tuners just take out the light bulb, but considering our cars have that screen that shows the SRS thing anyways, doesnt due much, thats just hiding the problem not solving it, and the subaru crowd all have resistors 2 trick the system

all were waiting for is some1 2 test for resistance, i mean once u find the right resistance a resistor isnt 2 hard 2 build, all u need 2 do is solder

Can't you just measure the resistance at the chair connector?

^^
im sure thats how they do it, is take a voltage meter and test for resistance at the chair connector, then go 2 a radio shack and buy a resistor and make it, but no1 has done it yet =\

The problem isn't the SRS system itself according to e-autosports.

The current JDM bypass will only work on SRS system. The problem is there are two other sensors under the seat. There is a slider position sensor under the driver side and there is another weight sensor under the Passenger side. Those sensors don't take the bypass pill. So technically 1 sensor down you need two more to bypass.
