What will I need to prevent CEL?
they really are. that light came on for me, but i'm guessing had i got the anti-fouler it would be alright. nonetheless, i'll get that fix for the HKS cat if that's the case

I believe that ecutek, or any other reflash for that matter, can disable the code via the ecu so that it will never pop up. I had the AP on my old STi, and when I put on a test pipe, my tuner did this for me and I never had a cel in 55000 miles of hard driving. Ask your tuner about this and he should be able to take care of it for you. Problem solved, and no need for a mechanical fix.
