those with interior sport package

Just curious if this is happening with anyone else.
I noticed with the weather getting much colder outside my shift knob spins effortlessly until the interior of the car heats up then it locks in position. Is anyone else having this problem? I would think it would be more likely to happen when warm and stick when cold not the opposite.

mine does the same thing, now that you mention it
I actually had the knob come off entirely on a particularly cold morning while shifting

there are different strengths of loctite. if you dont see yourself changing your shift knob anytime soon then using a weak one would be a good option.

I figured there would be issues with this part. The old VIII aluminum shift knobs had the enblem fall off. That wasn't a big deal compared to this. I guess I'll be counting down the days till mine breaks apart.

there aren't any threads to be putting locktite on. the shift knob came unglued from a plastic thing inside because the aluminum shift knob or the PLASTIC piece inside expands and contracts like CRAZY.

ever since it started getting cold, this topic has been brought up a bunch. i wonder if theres anone who doesn't have this problem in cold temp areas. i'd get another one from the dealership, but i feel like its going to just do the same thing. maybe use a low temp glue? or a different shift knob.

It sucks when it is cold, the darn thing spins all over the place. I guess at least mine isn't coming all the way off like some other ones. It really sucks when it heats up and stops moving and the emblem isn't straight any more! Drives me nuts!!
