The Lancer Evolution offers three operating modes:
Tarmac – Provides a rear bias for improved performance under optimal conditions.
Gravel – Splits torque equally to ensure balanced handling characteristics under lower traction conditions.
Snow – Provides a front bias for more forgiving handling characteristics under slippery conditions.
Competitive Note: The Subaru WRX and WRX STI don’t have the torque vectoring capabilities of the Lancer Evolution.
this is wrong

False. Please don't spread misinformation; FACT and TRUTH are key.

I've had good luck with autocrossing in Gravel mode after a recommendation from a Mitsubishi master tech. The first time I tried it, I dropped a full second. I'm not saying its all from switching to gravel but the run didn't feel any better the previous runs. Can't really say I felt a difference though

Never thought I'd ever touch that button, but it does rain a lot here so I think I might have to now, great info.

"they" is not a synonym for "I"

Maybe next time you'll post a link, instead. As of now, I'm only wondering where you got this nonsense from.

WRX doesn't, but the STI does (more than 3 settings, also).

Man, this thread needed to die.

Torque vectoring refers to the ability to divide power unevenly from left to right. No Scooby has this. The USDM Evo X and some other-market 9s have it.

Please, people. Just stop.

or front to back, which the sti does have. other popular cars (for left-right rear torque vectoring) include some audis, i.e., the s4, some hondas (w/ sh-awd) etc. anyway i agree, this thread needs to die.

I, personally, do not consider single-wheel braking stuff to be torque vectoring (and I do not consider an ACD to be anything more than a fancy LSD), but I guess I'm in the minority.
