Clear bra for the X

It took my buddy 5 plus hours to put the clear bra on his new GTR. Has anyone done it on their X? If so, how many hours? Thanks...

Which version of the clear bra? Was it computer cut or what?

I've been looking to purchase the ventureshield bra and have my friend put it on. Only problem is I can't find any site that has reviews...I'm kind of scared of some of their reputability.

ventureshield

Ventureshield full front including above grill in front of hood and to the sides of headlights, plus rear rockers and rear corner of back doors. $625.00 installed. Front was VERY time intensive application.

Thanks for the info pal..

And yeah, I cannot imagine. You should see the front fascia on a GTR. It has crazy curves on it..

4 hours for a professional install. 1/2 hood, front bumper, quarter panel tips, mirrors, rockers, and custom extended rear doors. Xpel makes the best computer program for cuts but you pay a license fee included in the price. Xpel used to sell the 3M. Now they have their own material. Went with 3M since it is tougher than Ventureshield. In most light, you really can't see the 3M on a GG color. On white or black, Ventureshield will be more clear. You can use the Xpel cut program for Ventureshield material. Whichever one you choose, do it before you get guarenteed damage. I waited a bit too long. This should be the first thing you do after the new paint has curred when the car is new.

Took me about 4 hours to do and cost $150. This included precuts for the hood, fenders, mirrors, bumper upper/sides.

After I saw some light stone chips/scuffs on the rear doors/side skirts even with the mudflaps, I added custom pieces which cost another $40 in material.

So ~$200 in material for DIY. The Lancer is pretty easy since the bumper is multipiece unlike conventional kits.

I'll try and take some pics but it is difficult to see on GG.

Mine took 3.5 hours for a professional install. They washed and used a clay bar to remove contaminants before they applied it.

I got my front end done, including the side mirrors. It was done professionally using the 3M product. Cost $600.00 I feel the price was worth it. Very well done; and a must if your driving over MTN passes on a monthly bases.

3M makes a clear bra and also has an aero option on it. I have pb color and you cannot tell its on there. Definitely worth it, but get it professionally done in my opinion unless you got experience.

Some pics (I tried to take them in angles that would make it easier to see):

I had to make the rear door/fender area since the kit I bought didn't include it.
