i had a good deal worked out on a GSR w/ SSS and a few other items...but the dealer then tried to rape me w/out lube on my trade-in. i don't mean the usual lowballing you expect on a trade...i actually laughed at the sales guy when he told me "we'd go as high as $23k for your trade". um, yeah. a lexus IS350 w/ 2000 miles (2k...not 20k miles). lol. so, my GSR may not be in the garage any time soon. sigh.

I asked about the 09s, and all they would say is that if the 09s do arrive, it wont be til May of 09. I got the impression that they were not too desperate to move the 08 stock. If it is true that Mitsu is not bringing any 09s to the US, then I wouldn't hold my breath on any heavy discount for the 08s.... no wonder Subaru is selling STis like crazy with their 0% and 30k for base model ones.
yea your correct... i work at a Mazda/Subaru/Volkswagen dealership in Maryland... we have been selling STi's like hotcakes... 9200 cash back and 0% for up to 63months!!! We sold 7 of them last month! which might not sound like alot but it is lol...

And i cant speak for many dealers but our dealership has been very very busy this month and febuary will be slow but after that it will pick up because of tax returns!

With the economy how it is, I'm assuming any car purchase would end up being in the consumers favor very easy. I recently heard a mitsubishi dealership here in hillsboro, oregon closed shop within the past couple of months....

This explains why, after you've factored in the conversion rates, in Canada the MSRP is usually a bit higher.

Correct me if I am wrong, but don't all of the MR and MR-premiums in Canada come with the Aero kit already on the vehicles?

So Spy007, is cost for a GSR 32k?
Actually our GSR is a joke. $42K and no fosgate system, no HID's, no Aero kits, no NAV (you can get the dealer installed kit but it's not the same), no bluetooth. It's the most bare bones GSR probably in the world because there are no options. There is no Aero kit in Canada as you can buy the individual parts but there isn't an option or package for it and HID's aren't an option on the GSR so you are paying for a $40K car that doesn't even have HID which is a joke. The only thing we get in Canada that the US doesn't is heated MR seats and a Sunroof but that is on the loaded $52K MR. Canadian pricing is an absolute joke and to top it off the dealerships (Calgary) won't even move on pricing even on EVO's that have sat here since the summer. It's like they really don't care if they sell them or not.
