finally fixed that rattle!

after MONTHS AND MONTHS of that highway rattle, i was driving and happened to realize that when I grab my shifter it stops. It was a small rattle that only happened in 5th gear over 60 mph. The dealership could never pin point it, sounded like loose change.

Well I took it in and told them about that. Tech undid the center console and it was so loud when he drove it. Turns out it was two shifter cables. Mitsu told them to zip tie them together and its fixed. Not a single sound

The shifter is super tough into 1st and 2nd, but the car shifting is alot smoother. Just an FYI incase its driving anyone else nuts.

I have one that sounds like it's coming from behind the climate controls. Is there a fix for that?

I get the worst rattle during colder morning startups. I traced the rattle to the "floor" air vents right near the knee airbags. I can grab it and it stops, but I cannot keep it from rattling with any object so far. Also, I think the heatshield on my exhaust manifold rattles too. It's like the bolts don't hold it in place even when they're tight.
